The Frankston Football Club have confirmed their coaching line-up for 2024, with the Club welcoming three new faces to the coaching staff under newly appointed Senior Coach Jackson Kornberg.

Tim McGibney remains at the Club, while Damien Keeping, Troy Hemming and Sam McMillan have joined the Dolphins ahead of the 2024 VFL season.

Entering his second year at the Club, McGibney will lead the midfield for the 2024 VFL season. McGibney has previously spent time at the Casey Demons in both their VFL and VFLW programs, having also been Senior Coach at both the Bunyip Football Club and the Traralgon Football Club respectively.

McGibney also runs his own coaching business, the South-East Football Academy, targeted at youth footballers in the Gippsland region.

Joining the Club from Old Caulfield Grammarians, where he was Women’s Senior Coach for their VAFA side, Keeping will lead the backline in season 2024. Previously, Keeping was the inaugural Senior Coach of Carlton’s AFLW side, where he built the program from its inception into the league.

Keeping has also coached in the Coates Talent League (formerly the TAC Cup) as an Assistant with the Calder Cannons in both the U16 and U18 programs.

Taking charge of the forward line in 2024, Hemming joins the Club having previously been Senior Coach at the Tarwin Football Club, where he took the side to finals in his first year while also being named the Mid Gippsland Coach of the Year in 2022.

Hemming’s previous experience also includes being an Assistant Coach at the Casey Demons in their VFLW program, as well as a matchday Runner for the VFL program. Hemming’s ability to forge meaningful relationships and connect players was key to the Club’s efforts to secure his services.

Finally, the Club also welcomes McMillan, who joins as a Development Coach for the 2024 season. With a strong playing history throughout the Gippsland Football League, McMillan moved into coaching locally at U18 level, where he became a premiership coach.

He has been involved with multiple local sides throughout his footballing journey and the club is excited to have him on board at VFL level.

The Dolphins kick off their season with a practice match against Port Melbourne at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday February 24th, with the match kicking off at 12pm (AEDT).
