The Frankston Football Club is delighted to announce that Head Coach Jackson Kornberg has signed a two year contract extension, securing his future with the Club until the end of the 2029 season.
On behalf of the Board, it gives me great pleasure to confirm Jackson’s extension and continue the strong partnership that has helped drive the Club’s growth, success and culture both on and off the field.
Since taking on the role, Jackson has proven to be an invaluable asset to the Frankston Football Club. While his coaching expertise has been instrumental in delivering sustained on field success, it is his ability to bring people together that truly sets him apart.
Jackson’s leadership extends far beyond match day. He has built strong and meaningful relationships across every level of our football club, bringing everyone on the journey together, from our players and their families, to our Board members, supporters, volunteers and the wider Frankston Football Club community. His ability to connect with people and create a positive, inclusive environment has been a significant factor in the strength of our club culture.
The team’s success on the field is a credit to Jackson’s outstanding coaching ability, preparation and leadership. Equally impressive is the personal approach he takes with every player, ensuring each individual feels supported, challenged and valued as both a footballer and a person.
This personal connection has resulted in some outstanding personal achievements and development from our playing group and wider football department. Outside this season’s draftees Tom Blamires and Harrison Coe, the development of existing talent across our list has been exceptional. As a club led by Jackson, we have deep roots in our community, giving local talent an opportunity to take their football career further while doing so in a familiar environment close to home. It cannot be overstated what a strong VFL club does for the whole local football community.
As a Board, we are excited by what lies ahead under Jackson’s leadership and are confident that the Club is well positioned to continue building on its recent success. His vision for the future, commitment to excellence and passion for the Frankston Football Club make him the ideal person to lead us into the next chapter.
