Each player will be assessed on his progress in these three areas mid-year and at the end of the season.

- 80 hopefuls will complete a train & trial prior to the official pre-season starting

- 6-8 players will be asked to train on with the main VFL squad and a number of others will assist in making up the Dolphins Academy for season 2023.

- Our expectation is that several players from the Player Academy will transition onto the primary VFL competition list at Frankston each year.

- The initial intake is 20 players from our primary recruiting areas. Each week on a rotating basis, 5 academy members join the full Frankston FC senior squad for Tuesday night training, meaning each academy member would do this once every 4 weeks.

- Academy members will also attend AFL games with a Frankston FC coach for role modelling exercises to identify like players at the AFL level and closely observe how they play.
