The club is delighted to confirm the signing of 2019 Western Jets best and fairest winner Will Kennedy. At 198cm and 90kgs, Will shapes up as a key forward prospect with the ability to relieve in the ruck.
After 17 games with the Jets in 2019 and 2 games as a 19 year old with the Dolphins, Will has the opportunity to launch into his full time VFL career. Playing primarily as a ruckman in the NAB league this year, he averaged the most hitouts in the competition and caught the eye with his mobility and overhead marking. He also rated as the highest ranking Western Jets player by Champion Data.
Highly sought after by a number of VFL clubs, he shapes as one to watch in 2020 at SkyBus Stadium. We wish Will all the best in the upcoming draft period, but if an opportunity fails to arise, we hope that Frankston can be the launchpad for him into a successful career in the future.
