A New Era begins now
Hi everyone and welcome to the start of a New Era
The club has been working hard in the off-season to put us in a position to speed up our growth with a number of significant changes.
Since re-entering the competition, our loyalty from our members, partners and supporters over the last 6 years has been significant.
But to move forward we must continue to expand our network
We conducted a national search for a CEO who would introduce us to a new markets and many applicants presented to our board in an incredibly competitive selection process.
Fraser Bayne commenced the position as CEO 10 weeks ago and has made significant inroads. As our CEO he has introduced our club to new markets and has good relationships with local clubs. Strong corporate relationships and strong football connections are already assisting in recruiting new talent to the club.
Our Director of Football, Steven Icke conducted a full football review in conjunction with Donald McDonald (former North Melbourne Kangaroos player, coach and administrator)
The board decided at the conclusion of the review that we needed our coach to be full time for many reasons.
We set up a coaching panel chaired by our CEO and panel members Grant Thomas, Steven Icke, Donald McDonald and two board members Marc Ablett and Brad Sykes. After a diligent Australia wide search we are thrilled with the appointment of Jackson Kornberg. Jackson has hit the ground running, with significant talent recruitment both on the field and in the coaches box and setting up a strong pre-season program to put us in the best position for round one.
We are also excited to let you know we have the highest retention of existing players for a number of years thanks to the efforts of our List Management Committee.
All is in place now to start the New Era with players back to training this week.
Exciting times ahead stronger as one – help us grow our club as paid up members now.
Sincerely
David Friend
President – Frankston Football Club
I am pleased to present the Frankston Football Club’s Membership packages for season 2024.
Membership plays a pivotal role in a Club’s success and I have long held the belief that our members are the most passionate in the competition. Kinetic Stadium is our fortress and the electric atmosphere created by our community inspires the playing group to greater heights.
The FFC Board have done an excellent job in positioning the Club for sustained success.
As part of the that, the Board conducted an extensive review into our Men’s Football program and decided to continue with the strategy of further investment into football by elevating the Club’s Head Coach to a full-time position for the first time.
We were pleased announce that Jackson Kornberg will lead up our football program. Jackson has been involved in elite football programs across the Sandringham Dragons, AFLW and Gold Coast Suns. It is no coincidence that wherever Jackson has been, success follows.
We have also been able to retain a significant number of quality players whilst also attracting proven VFL performers and a returning former AFL player.
Our Women’s team comes off the back of a fantastic year finishing runners up in only their third year since the inception of the team. An amazing achievement. They will look to go one better in 2024 in a revamped competition under direction of the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League.
Season 2024 will be my first year at the Club and I am extremely excited by the opportunity and the potential that the FFC offers.
I encourage you to support the FFC by buying your 2024 membership and I look forward meeting you all at Kinetic Stadium.
Fraser Bayne
CEO – Frankston Football Club
I’m thrilled to be able to call myself the coach of the Frankston Dolphin – a club steeped in history & tradition, and a club that is entering an exciting new era in 2024.
My philosophy is that of building relationships and connecting people – and my mission at the Dolphins is to do just that, shape and build the culture led by our on field leaders to achieve sustained success for the community.
We are really happy to have the highest level of player retention that we have had in recent history, and have had several really exciting signings to the club, including some players who are returning to the club to be a part of what we are building.
I can’t wait to see everyone at Kinetic Stadium cheering us on this year.
Go Dolphins
