On behalf of the Board of the Frankston Football Club, I’d like to invite you to join with us as we embark on season 2025. After a truly memorable year in 2024, our 138th year of existence is promising to be just as exciting.
For the first time since 2007, the Frankston Football Club won a premiership. Our MPFNL women’s division 3 team brought home some silverware – and we could not be prouder. It is testament to the hard work of many, and of course our brilliant women athletes who are wonderful ambassadors for our Club.
Not to be outdone, our men travelled to Queensland – twice – and participated in finals of the Victorian Football League for the first time since 2008. The win against the Gold Coast Suns will go down as one of the Club’s greatest victories.
However, it simply does not stop there. We must keep winning. The Club has made the strategic choice to invest in both of our football programs, with only one aim – to win premierships.
This is no mean feat in any sporting competition, but it is made harder by the structural inequities that the Club must endure daily as we compete against bigger clubs, bigger budgets and bigger balance sheets. For us to be competitive on field, it is an imperative that we grow off field.
It is for this reason that your support is so important and so greatly appreciated. It goes directly into our efforts to bring a state league premiership to Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula – a heartland of Australian rules football.
The Frankston Football Club is older than some of the world’s great football clubs. For us to continue to thrive, we need your support now more than ever. So pledge your allegiance, buy a membership and join us all on the hill at Kinetic Stadium in 2025 – I can assure you, you will not want to miss out.
Sincerely
Steven Finocchiaro
President
Frankston Football Club
After what we achieved in the 2024 season, we cannot wait to get back to work and continually improve. With pre season fast approaching, and with our best retention over the past decade, we have put ourselves into a really good position to build off our finals campaign in 2024.
We have been incredibly specific and targeted with our recruiting, which has yielded fruit already, with the return of club favourite Bailey Lambert, and the signing of Williamstown key forward, Corey Ellison. We feel these two players compliment our side perfectly, and fill incredibly important needs.
There will be more signings to come – so stay tuned.
So as we head towards our first training, I encourage you all to jump on board and support us in 2025. We will continually engage our members and supporters in different ways, and we cannot wait to have you a part of our journey and join us at Kinetic Stadium in 2025.
