Rigga came to the club as a dangerous half forward flanker who could kick a goal, through sheer hard work and determination he became an elite midfielder who was a tough inside player but also had the ability to hurt the opposition on the outside with his long kicking ability. He was a big personality in the change rooms who hated wearing a shirt, apparently his six mates were allergic to fabric. He deservedly got to play AFL footy and was extremely unlucky not to be at Essendon the following year as he showed plenty when he was given the chance. He has had a fantastic career”. – Neil Winterton (former Dolphins teammate)
